PERFORMANCE

Stage Antics believes in providing opportunities for the students to show their talents to family, friends and professionals from within the industry.

Within the school year, Stage Antics aims to present at least one stage production at a local venue allowing them to gain valuable experience performing in front of a live audience. From time to time, parents will also be invited into school to watch their children’s progress.

Last year (2007), Stage Antics produced a new show entitled ‘Heads and Tales’ at the Arden Theatre in Faversham. All the students were involved with equal opportunities to showcase their singing, acting and dancing talents. With an ecstatic applause ringing in their ears, our young performers were given the confidence boost that their hard work and talent deserved.

This year, something bigger and better is planned!

LATEST NEWS!
On 5th July 2008 all three schools will come together for a joint performance at the Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury. Rave reviews are bound to follow!!!

Stage Antics students also perform at local community events such as The Medieval Pageant, Eastling and Davington Priory Fete and Faversham’s Famous Hop Festival.

Stage Antics also arranges theatre trips to see professional productions. Last year the students saw ‘Saturday Night Fever’ at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury and the following day one of the stars of the show came to give a masterclass which our students found utterly inspiring. We plan to do this as often as possible.
